1. What age can children start?

Answer: Any age from 4 years upwards. Many children join in their teenage years.

2. Does Mackinnon School of Dance have a uniform?

Answer: Yes, but new pupils need to try classes first before buying.

3. How much do classes cost?

Answer: First classes are complimentary. Fees are payable termly. Prices available on request.

4. Do pupils take exams?

Answer: Yes, if they wish and when the required standard is reached.

5. Do any students go on to a career in dance?

Answer: Yes many students from our dance school have gone on to professional schools and to work in the theatre.

6. Do parents watch?

Answer: There are Open Days each year for family and friends to view any classes.

7. How long are lessons?

Answer: Classes are 45 minutes long. Some pupils have 2 or 3 lessons per week by choice.

8. Are all staff DBS checked?

Answer: All staff are DBS checked.

9. Can we join a class part way through the term?

Answer: Yes, if a place is available. There will be a reduction in fees pro-rata.

Pupils, boys and girls, are taken from 4 years. Pre-School Classes. (First taster lesson free)
Pupils follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus from pre-primary to grade 8 and vocational syllabi. Private lessons are available by appointment.
Pupils are entered for the RAD exams when the required standard is reached. Exams are not compulsory but encouraged
The dance school is located in the Sittingbourne High Street, with secure premises and good nearby parking.
